Background
Vincenzina Disalvo, MFT — Ms. V — is the Family Therapist at RECO Immersive, where residential treatment is built around the reality that clients eventually go home. Her role is to make sure the family they return to is prepared for that reunion and involved in the recovery from the beginning.
Her path into the field is personal. After her son struggled with addiction, Ms. V returned to school for her MFT, driven by the conviction that family recovery is not optional. That lived experience shapes every family session she runs at RECO Immersive.
Approach
Ms. V’s approach at RECO Immersive centers on parallel healing. While the client is doing intensive work on campus, the family is doing its own work with her — learning to communicate, set boundaries, unwind enabling patterns, and rebuild trust.
She believes that healing begins with vulnerability, empathy, and unconditional love, and she teaches families how to practice those three things in the middle of a very difficult season. She facilitates individual family sessions, multi-family groups, and structured programming that gives loved ones a place to process their own experience.
Education & Credentials
Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ms. V has spent many years supporting families through residential and outpatient care, and her work is shaped by her own family’s experience of addiction and recovery.
What to Expect
At RECO Immersive, families working with Ms. V find someone who takes their pain seriously and refuses to let them stay stuck in old patterns. Sessions are warm and honest, and the family programming becomes as central to the residential experience as any clinical group.
