Leadership

Steve Church

Chief Operating Officer

Over a decade in behavioral health operations, with a conviction that the strongest clinical outcomes start with the strongest team culture.

Background

Steve Church is Chief Operating Officer overseeing operations across the RECO network — including the residential mental health environment at RECO Immersive. He brings more than ten years of behavioral health experience, with a specific focus on mental health care and the operational rigor that residential programs demand.

Residential mental health treatment is operationally unforgiving. Staffing has to be consistent. Handoffs between shifts can't drop information. The physical environment has to support healing, not interrupt it. Steve's role at RECO Immersive is to make sure the operational layer holds the clinical work without anyone having to think about it.

Approach to Care

Steve's operational philosophy at RECO Immersive starts from the residential reality: clients are in the program 24/7, which means the operational team has to be excellent 24/7. He invests in team training, clear communication structures, and a hiring standard that prioritizes both clinical competence and personal warmth.

He puts a strong emphasis on team culture. RECO Immersive's residential staff stay long-term — unusually so for the field — because Steve has built operational systems that respect their work. That stability translates directly into client experience, where consistency from one shift to the next is what residential treatment lives or dies on.

Education & Credentials

Steve has spent more than a decade leading behavioral health teams, with specialized experience in mental health treatment settings spanning inpatient, residential, and outpatient. His operational expertise covers staffing models, regulatory compliance, and the integration between clinical and administrative functions in residential care.

What to Expect

Clients at RECO Immersive don't typically meet the COO — but they feel his work constantly. The reason the residential staff are consistent, well-trained, and present. The reason the program runs to schedule. The reason the building, food, transportation, and ancillary services don't get in the way of the actual treatment.

Steve's standard for RECO Immersive is operational excellence in service of clinical outcomes — never the reverse. The residential experience reflects that priority every day.
