Background
Laura Steele serves as a Primary Therapist at RECO Immersive, providing individualized clinical care to clients experiencing mental health and substance use concerns in a residential setting. With more than six years in the behavioral health field, Laura brings a diverse clinical background and a strong commitment to supporting clients throughout the recovery process.
Her areas of focus include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), substance use treatment, mental health counseling, family therapy, couples counseling, and 12-Step recovery principles.
Approach to Care
Laura works from a client-centered, individualized posture — recognizing that recovery is not a one-size-fits-all process. She believes that honesty, compassion, accountability, and collaboration are the foundations of effective therapy, and she meets clients where they are in their stage of change while helping them build insight, coping skills, and sustainable strategies for long-term mental health and substance use recovery.
Her therapeutic style is engaging, supportive, and transparent — well-suited to the residential setting where insight, honesty, and consistent clinical support have the time to take root.
Education & Credentials
Laura earned her graduate degree in Social Work from The College of Saint Rose and is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) in the State of Florida. She has more than six years of experience across administrative and direct clinical roles in behavioral health — a background that lets her approach treatment from both a clinical and systems-based perspective.
What to Expect
Residential clients at RECO Immersive working with Laura can expect a therapist who is honest, compassionate, engaging, and individualized — creating a supportive environment where clients can develop greater self-awareness, address barriers to recovery, and build the skills necessary for lasting mental-health and substance-use stability. Laura sees the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process and believes meaningful recovery begins with a space where clients can be honest about where they are while being supported in moving toward where they want to be.
